Cinqair IV Infusion Therapy
What is Cinqair?
Cinqair (reslizumab) is a biologic drug that is an add-on maintenance treatment for adults 18 years and older with severe eosinophilic asthma (EA).
How does Cinqair work?
Eosinophils are normal white blood cells. People with eosinophilic asthma have increased levels of eosinophils, which worsens inflammation in their lungs and can cause severe asthma attacks. Cinqair has been proven to reduce eosinophil levels in the blood, which helps prevent asthma attacks, improve breathing and lung function, and better control asthma symptoms.
How is Cinqair administered?
Cinqair is administered intravenously once every 4 weeks. The dose depends on body weight. Each infusion takes about 20-50 minutes.
